Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education

At Dorchester, PSHE is an integral part of our curriculum. Through discrete lessons, circle times and philosophy, the children become well-rounded individuals, with a good understanding of themselves and the wider world. 

In EYFS and KS1, our overarching themes are:

• Me and my Body
• Me and my Friends
• Me and my Community
• Me and my Family
• Me and my World

In KS2, our overarching themes are:

• Health and Wellbeing
• Living in the Wider World
• Relationships

Our PSHE curriculum also includes Relationships Education, Health Education and Relationships and Sex Education, in line with government guidance.

In the Summer Term, we have Health and Relationships Week, where we really focus on what it means to be physically and mentally healthy, and how to form positive, lasting relationships.
