  • KS1 Big Sing! Does your child want to join our KS1 choir?

    We are fortunate to have here at Dorchester Primary a sensational KS1 choir, which currently only consists of 6 children - and there is space for 20! So if your child is in KS1 and would like to join, there is more than enough space and they would be welcomed with open arms!

    The choir are now rehearsing in preparation for the KS1 Big Sing 2024! They will be performing two songs on their own and then 4 songs with the other schools also taking part. KS1 choir takes place on Tuesdays after school, so if you are interested please contact the school office as this performance they are preparing for is set to be very special indeed.

  • Get measles vaccine to avoid rapid spread, says UK health boss

    Measles is likely to spread rapidly across more parts of the UK unless more people take up the vaccine, a senior health official has warned.

    Dame Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), says vaccination rates are "well below" what is recommended by the World Health Organization.

    Pop-up clinics are being introduced to get more children vaccinated as cases continue to rise.

    Measles is a highly contagious disease. It is spread by coughs and sneezes.
