Music, Faith and Language Ambassadors Projects!
Here is what our pupil leaders across the school have been working on recently!
With Chinese New Year around the corner, our language ambassadors were learning about the history of the Chinese characters (Mandarin, Cantonese, Traditional Chinese) and were practising writing in Mandarin. We also had some fun using a translator to discover how to write our own names in Mandarin, which as our fluent Mandarin speakers will tell you didn't exactly translate perfectly, but it definitely gave us all a good giggle!
Our Mental Health First Aiders are leading an initiative in their classes soon where they will be sharing their artistic messages of positivity with their classes, and will help lead a session on creating a 'wall of positivity' in each of their classes for all classmates to contribute to, to help children build their self-esteem and improve their mental health.
Our Music Ambassadors have been inspired to compose a piece of music together from the lyrics of a poem written by Lily, in Blue class, who is also a music ambassador. The song is in its early stages but it is sounding really beautiful so far!
