Young Voices 2024

Young Voices is an amazing event that allows children to perform, alongside some special guests, at the O2 Arena and other venues across the country.  On Monday, we took 38 children from Years 3-6 up to the O2 to take part.  We left school at 11am and, after a smooth train and tube journey, soon found ourselves eating lunch on the concourse in the Arena.  After lunch we had a rehearsal with the Principal Conductor and the children learnt some additional participation pieces to accompany the special guests' performances, as well as practising the repertoire that they have been learning over many weeks of choir.  We had our tea after the rehearsal and spent an hour or so playing 'spot the friends and family' as the arena began to fill with our audience for the night.  The concert was amazing - if a bit tiring for some of the younger children - they really gave it their all.  

Thank you to all the friends and family who came along to support the children - we hope you enjoyed watching the show as much as we enjoyed taking part.
