London Youth Games Basketball Gold

Dorchester are Double Champions!

On Monday, 22nd April, the Year 5 and 6 London Youth Games 3v3 Basketball competition held at Carshalton Boys Sports College marked another exhilarating showcase of skill and sportsmanship. The event brought together young athletes from ten schools to compete for glory on the court.

Dorchester Primary School's participation in the tournament was nothing short of remarkable. Out of the five games played in the group stages, our team emerged victorious in four, securing a place in the semi-finals. The semi-finals game was intense as it finished in a draw and our team had to go through a Free Throw shootout experience which ended up in our favour. The team played the final game with enthusiasm, leading to the honour of wearing the gold medals. Their outstanding performance is a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and relentless determination.

Not only did our team excel in their athletic abilities, but they also represented Dorchester Primary School with utmost pride and respect. Their conduct on and off the court reflected positively on our school's values. Their hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship have been truly commendable.

Two Times Champions this year is well and truly deserved.
