Year 3

What was your favourite part of Stone Age Day?

This week in English, the children have been working on their retrieval and inference skills when reading traditional stories.  They worked hard to find clues from the text to explain how characters were feeling and why events happened.

In Maths, we continued to work on adding and subtracting using the column method when we need to exchange.  The children are all becoming more confident in this method.

On Wednesday, the children all looked fantastic in their Stone Age costumes and we appreciate all the work you put in organising them.  They had an amazing day, which included making clay pots, creating cave paintings, becoming hunters and gatherers and making Stonehenge out of biscuits.  We hope the children all enjoyed their day just as much as we did!

Thank you so much for all your support this half term.  We have all really enjoyed working with and getting to know all the children.  We hope you have a relaxing half term!
