Year 3/4 news 12.11.21

This week, we have been learning a lot about volcanoes both in Geography and through our English lessons. We have retold the story of 'Escape from Pompeii' which tells the story of two children who lived in Pompeii at the time of Vesuvius's eruption. We used powerful verbs, adverbs and ambitious adjectives to retell the story in our own words. We have learned how volcanoes are formed in Geography and have found out that there are two different ways that this can happen. In Maths, we have started our multiplication and division unit and are learning our times tables. In Science, we learned how and why evaporation occurs and what the uses of this are. In our indoor PE sessions, we have been learning a range of different jumps and have started to use hand apparatus to help us create rhythmic sequences in pairs.
