What have you enjoyed about our topic 'Bright Lights Big City?

The children have had a great half-term and worked really hard. We hope they have a lovely break and come back ready for their last half-term in Year 1.

This week we have been learning all about the Queen and celebrating her jubilee. The children have spent time learning all about how life has changed during her time on the throne. We have looked at important events in her life, what she enjoys doing and her family. We spent time looking at past and present where we compared object from the past to now. The children have made crowns, designed a new carriage for the Queen and made party invitations.

In Maths, we have been looking at equal groups and making arrays. The children have explored what an array is and used manipulative to show how they make them. We have looked at finding the double of a number and doubled the amount of sausages needed for the Queen's corgis.
