Monkey Puzzle

This week we read the story Monkey Puzzle by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Monkey is lost in the jungle, so he asks Butterfly to help him find his mum. However, Butterfly cannot seem to understand that Monkey and his mum look alike, so attempts to reunite Monkey with an elephant, a parrot and even a bat! The children have had great fun this week retelling the story using masks and our Monkey Puzzle small world. The children have also decorated their family frames and enjoyed talking about what makes their families so special. We started our daily Maths Meetings this week where we recapped prior learning such as, colours, days of the week and sorting.
