Superhero like you by Dr Ranj

This week in Nursery we have welcomed some new friends and all of the children have been helping them to settle. We have been thinking about different people who help us and we have been reading the story 'Superhero like you' by Dr Ranj. In this story the little girl tells her Mummy that she wants to be a superhero when she grows up but not a superhero who wears a cape a superhero who really helps people. In the story we find out all about doctors, nurses, recycling people, firefighters, teachers, post workers and many more. The children have enjoyed being doctors and looking after each other and some of our teddies to make them better. We can't wait to learn about some of the other occupations. For our Phonics learning we have enjoyed playing different rhyming games. We have also been practising our squiggle whilst you wiggle dances and the children are getting very good at drawing circles.
