Lighting a Lamp 04/11/21

In Nursery this week we have read the story 'Lighting a Lamp' by Jonny Zucker. The children have found out about lots of different ways that Diwali is celebrated. They have enjoyed using salt dough to shape their own Diva lamps, and they have decorated them with lots of colour and sparkles. They have also been looking at different Mehndi patterns that people use to decorate their hands for Diwali. They were all really excited when they were able to use face paints to draw their own Mehndi patterns on to their hands. We have also been looking at different Rangoli patterns and tried to create some using different methods.
