Success in the UK Bebras Challenge

Earlier in the term, the children in Buzz Club took part in this year's Bebras Challenge.  This is an international competition organised by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to introduce computational thinking.  The results are now in and the children did really well.  Distinction, merit and participation awards are based on how they scored within the school; certificates will be handed out next week.  In addition to these awards, there are Gold certificates which are awarded to the top 10% of participants nationally.  This year, we achieved a more than 50% increase in the number of children receiving this accolade - over a quarter of the participants! Well done to all of the children involved; I hope you all enjoyed it.
