Upcoming visit and workshop from Chris Skelley, MBE

Exciting News!

We are thrilled to share that on Monday 13th October, we will be welcoming Chris Skelley MBE, Paralympic gold medallist and inspirational speaker, to our school!

Chris Hunt Skelley MBE, former World Number 1 and Paralympic Judo Champion, has carved out an extraordinary legacy in sport. Diagnosed with Ocular Albinism at just 19, Chris turned adversity into triumph, becoming a global force in VI Judo. With a world number one ranking, and a historic Paralympic gold medal in Tokyo and Bronze in Paris, he stands as one of the most decorated and successful athletes in his field.

Chris will be running a special assembly and workshop with our pupils, sharing his journey, achievements, and powerful message about resilience, determination, and never giving up.

As part of the workshop, the children will take part in an exciting fitness challenge:
Spotty Dogs

Leg Drives

Full or Half Press Ups

Star Jumps

Each activity will be completed for 60 seconds, and we can’t wait to see how many the children can do!

A sponsorship form will be sent home so families and friends can support the children in this challenge. If you would like to donate directly, please visit our donation page: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/dorchester-primary-schoolfundraiser

Let’s give Chris a very warm welcome and make this an unforgettable experience for our school community!
