VE Day celebrations on Thursday 8th May

To celebrate VE Day on Thursday 8th May 2025, we are asking the children to dress in a red, white or blue top according to their year group, to allow us to recreate the Union Jack. It will be a fun and patriotic way to mark the occasion, capturing this in a special group photo.  Year 2 will be visiting the Tower of London on the day so will need to wear their school uniform.

Nursery, Year 4 and Year 1 - Please wear a white top with your usual black PE trousers/shorts

Reception and Year 5 - Please wear a red top with your usual black PE trousers/shorts

Year 3 and Year 6 - Please wear a blue top with your usual black PE trousers/shorts 

Hats, hoodies and hair bows in your allocated colour are also welcomed.

We will also be celebrating with a special VE Day-inspired menu. This replaces the original menu consisting of lasagne, which will be moved to Friday 9th instead.
