On Sunday 15th December at 5pm, Christ Church with St Philip are hosting a very special service to remember loved ones and raise funds for St Raphael's Hospice. And you can help....
Year 5 met the Reception children for the first time this week, as part of our 'Big Friends, Little Friends' project. This first initial meeting involved becoming familiar with each other before next week, when we will match up two Year 5 children with their 'Little Friend'. We are so excited about the activities we have planned over the course of the academic year which will provide opportunities for the 'friends' to work together. We are all looking forward to seeing our older children take on this responsibility and the younger children reap the rewards of these special friendships.
Thanks to your generous donations this harvest, 14 families will be benefiting from emergency food parcels. That means 14 families will go to bed with full tummies and less worry about where their next meal will come from. Remember that food banks are always looking for donations, so please continue to donate throughout the year. It really does make a huge difference to families in need.
We really enjoyed welcoming our families into school on Monday afternoon to see the wonderful outcomes of our 'Around the World Day'. The children were so proud to show their families around the school. The children learnt about countries including Australia, Vatican City, Thailand and Mongolia. The children not only learned about the location and the physical geography of these countries but also about language, culture and any environmental issues including responsible tourism. Please remember to complete the virtual passport for a chance to win a prize.
