Year 5 - What is installation art?

We have been learning about Installation art, what it is and how we can enjoy it. We are looking to create some pieces of artwork that are 3D, can be experienced by a range of senses and are based on the Dorchester Values. We look forward to being able to share these with you when they are in place. After half term, we will be visiting the Tate Modern to view Installation art as well as visit the Frida Kahlo exhibition and the artist we are studying next term. We have worked hard to complete the Star Writes based on the first invasion of Lindisfarne. In RE we have been thinking about the things that people believe in that they would never deny. These are the beliefs that cause people to respond with a great deal of courage – another great value to live by.
