Year 5 - Which Greek Mythological beast inspired our masks?

Over the past few weeks we have been creating a mask inspired by Greek mythology based on the painting of A Muse (Calliope?) by Cosimo Tura. We have had fun designing the mask onto card, using a layer of card to add details such as hair, warts, eyebrows and wrinkles, before finally covering the whole thing with a layer of papier mache and painting them. I think you will agree they are gory and very effective. We are coming to the end of the year and we have spent some time reflecting how much we have learned this year. We have even surprised ourselves by how much we have learnt through Year 5 and how much more we could learn in Year 6.
