Year 5 - Which Greek mythological being inspired your mask making?

Take One Picture is a national art project where everyone studies one painting from the National Gallery. Schools are encouraged to create a piece of work that represents something inspired by the painting. Without giving too much away, the painting this year inspired us to think about Greek Mythology. We looked at Greek theatre and Greek beasts. We have started creating masks that could have been used in Greek theatre of a mythical beast. Come back later in the term to see the finished masks. In other news this week, Year 5 have been putting all our efforts into booklets – showing our learning at its very best.
