Year 5 – Which nursery rhymes and children's songs do we remember?

We have started to learn about how to make a pop-up book of a children's song or nursery rhyme. We were amazed at how many songs and rhymes we knew. Next week we will be making the book; this week is about designing the covers. Look out for the finished books as we will be sharing them with our Little Friends in Reception.  We have had class assemblies over the past few weeks, where we have been able to share so much of our learning with school and parents. We have finished our Star Write based on Floodland by Marcus Sedgwick. We wrote a story about what would happen if Dorchester School was isolated by a flood with no other land for miles. This has certainly made us think about all the things we appreciate.
