Year 5 - What has a bed, banks, a mouth and a source?

A river, of course! This week we have started our new Geography topic of Rivers. We have been reminded of the key features of a river and learnt about some of the mighty rivers around the world. Did you know the longest river in the world is The River Nile, whereas the longest river in the UK is The River Severn? We have started reading "Floodland" by Marcus Sedgwick in Reading and English. It is a dystopian novel set in a time when England is flooded and only Norwich is above the water level. We have only just begun reading, but already we have many questions about the characters and setting and how they will survive. In Judaism, we have been looking at the names Jews use for the character of God.
