Year 3: What did you enjoy most about our Stone Age day?

What an amazing day we had immersing ourselves in the Stone Age! The children absolutely loved our interactive Stone Age Day and were fully engaged in every activity, bringing their learning to life through a range of exciting, hands-on experiences.
We gathered around the fire in Forest School, where we chopped vegetables and worked together to prepare a delicious Stone Age-inspired stew. The children then enjoyed eating their lunch from coconut bowls, just as they imagined people might have done thousands of years ago! They also headed off on a hunt for animals to provide their lunch, explored making artwork using charcoal from the fire and got creative by shaping their own clay pottery.
The excitement continued as the children enthusiastically invaded other classes, proudly showing off their Stone Age costumes and getting everyone involved in our prehistoric adventure!
It was wonderful to see the children so enthusiastic, curious and completely immersed in the experience. Their behaviour was excellent throughout the day, and they showed fantastic teamwork, creativity and a real eagerness to learn. It was certainly a day to remember!
A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who provided costumes. Seeing the children dressed up added an extra touch of magic and really helped bring our Stone Age adventure to life. We hope the children came home with lots of exciting stories to share!
