Year 3: Why was the discovery of iron important?

In History, we have continued our learning about the Stone Age. We discovered why iron was such an important discovery and explored how this new material changed the way people lived and worked. The children enjoyed finding out how advances in materials helped people to develop new tools and ways of life.

In Computing, we have been learning about computer networks. The children have been discovering how computers and devices can connect and communicate with each other – and thinking about the networks we use every day.

Our English lessons have been full of creativity as we continued exploring Cave Baby. The children have enjoyed getting into character and doing some fantastic acting and drama, helping them to understand the characters and events in the story before putting their ideas into writing.

A special well done to Amber Class, who gave a fantastic performance in their assembly! We were incredibly proud of their confidence, enthusiasm and hard work.
