    The children have really enjoyed playing the ukulele this half term and have been learning to play 'Smoke on the Water'. We have learnt the names of the different strings on the ukulele.

  • Year 3: What did you include in your non-chronological report?

    This week Year 3 have worked incredibly hard producing their non-chronological reports about Ancient Egypt.  They have included all of the features needed in a report and have added images to match their subheadings.  Well done Year 3!

    This week in Year 3, we have been learning about Howard Carter and his discovery of Tutankhamun.  We created news reports to explain why Howard Carter is famous, why his discovery was so important and we debated whether or not he should have been given a reward.

    We have been very excited to start our new topic this half term on Ancient Egypt.  We have been looking at the jobs that existed.  The children then played charades where they acted out different jobs and the class had to work out which one it was.

  • Year 3: What did you learn about your new friends from Christmas dinner?

    What a busy final week of the term! Year 3 have worked really hard this term and we have all been so proud of their focus! On Wednesday we all got to enjoy our lunch in the school hall where we sat in tables of mixed year groups. It was so lovely to see the children talking with each other and making new friends in different year groups.

  • Year 3: What did you learn about the donkeys on Friday?

    Year 3 were very excited to see the donkeys on Friday and learn about them! We have started to research different facts about the countries in Europe and have enjoyed learning new facts ready to present in our travel brochures next week. We were also very lucky to watch the Year 2 children perform their Nativity show!

    This week in Year 3 we have all been working really hard to show off our learning so far! We have recapped our Maths knowledge and have practised our reading skills through our booklet week.  In Science, we looked at Friction and began to see how it impacts the speed of a car - a fun practical experiment!
