Reception: Why do Christians Celebrate Christmas?

In the lead-up to the festive season, the children revisited why Christmas is celebrated, and we began the week by sharing the Nativity story. We linked the events in the story to the lines the children are learning for their upcoming performance, helping them to understand how everything fits together. Alongside this, we have been rehearsing lines and practising the songs with Makaton signs. It seems that some parents may be picking up the songs at home as well! The children are looking forward to performing for you all.
