Year 5 Football Vs St Cecilia's

On Tuesday afternoon, our Year 5 football team played their first game together in a cup match vs St Cecilia’s. It was a fantastic cup game to watch and the team played brilliantly. We went 1-0 up early thanks to a goal from Aston but unfortunately, St Cecilia’s did equalise just before half time. As the second half started, St Cecilia’s scored an early goal to make it 2-1 but it didn’t take long for Aston to score again and make it 2-2. After some relentless defending from our defence, St Cecilia’s did manage to score another not long before full time making it 3-2 and then scored another with an unstoppable free kick shortly before the full time whistle. Our Year 5s showed fantastic resilience and represented the school brilliantly.
