A Team lost 7-3

Nerves got the better of us a bit today. Some tall opponents meant we were doubting ourselves a little before the game started which was a shame because when we had possession and moved the ball down court we did so smoothly and tidily. All that lovely play we can put into action was there - particularly in the second half when we came out with more determination and played so much better. 

I was very pleased with the resilience everyone showed and the improvement and fight that you brought to the game in that second half. It showed great character and focus and at one point you had such good momentum I thought we might bring the score even closer in the time we had.

Good effort from all and now you’ve lost a game we don’t need to be worried about losing going forward - we can always learn lots whatever the result and today was a test of your team spirit which you certainly passed.

Well done to Darcy, Sophia, Juliette, Ora, Darcy-Mae, Tommie and Tiya.

B Team won 6-0

This first match for the B team, which saw you gel really well as a team and everyone brought their very best netball today. I was so impressed with the footwork, movement, accuracy of passing, defending and shooting - every box was ticked and it was a great all-round team performance.

Everyone played tidy and controlled netball; it was so good to see you putting all the things you’d been practising into action and how positively and confidently you played from beginning to end. 

You should be extremely proud of yourselves and will hopefully now be looking forward to next week’s match!
