Another win in Netball

Netball vs St Dunstan’s

Won 1-0

Having been a very grey day, it meant that light was extremely poor for this game and made the conditions for shooting in particular very tricky. The through court play from the whole team was still tidy and controlled, and we were able to move the ball into attack calmly. Our defence also stepped up to put pressure on the attacking chances the opposition did have later in the game and ensured that we held onto the one-goal lead we’d had since early on in the game.

This was the first time a number of our players had represented the netball team in an away match and that in itself brings challenges in unfamiliar facilities and surroundings, but they all coped really well and settled nicely. The team maintained excellent attitudes throughout the game and I couldn’t be more pleased with how these players conduct themselves, play to the umpire and adapt to the situations they find themselves in - they are a pleasure to work with.

This has been a great first half of the season for this new team – they finish it unbeaten – and we look forward to seeing who we will face in the new year.

Very well done to Darcey, Sophia, Juliette, Ora, Darcy-Mae, Tommie and Tiya.
