Year 5/6 Tag Rugby A Competition
The sun shone on the Year 5/6 Tag Rugby Team when they began their A Competition matches last week. They started well with a close, end to end game against , losing narrowly but proving that they were well-placed in the higher tier of the tournament. A win in the second game set us up well for the last group game – and then the rain started! Play continued through a heavy downpour but the team didn’t give up and managed another close result. The tournament did continue into the next rounds despite the conditions but our matches were cut slightly short as teams were finding it increasingly hard to play on with players who were drenched and starting to feel the cold. Dorchester were last team standing in their group so hats off to the children’s perseverance and also their level of play – it was a great effort and they threw everything they had at this.
Well done to Kieran, Matthew, Connor, Hannah, Gkalena, Macey, Aiya, Austin and Ora.
Girls' Football team keep up their positive start with a 1-1 draw in an exciting match.
