Nursery: What is an insect?

This week in Nursery we have been reading the book 'A Good Place' by Lucy Cousins. In this book four insects are looking for a good place to live. The book explores what different insects need in their environment. We have been exploring our Nursery garden and thinking about how we can make it more insect-friendly. We have found lots of different insects and other mini-beasts who live within our Nursery environment and next week we will be making some more homes for them. We have been learning that an insect has six legs so snails are not insects.
