Nursery: What happens when people celebrate fireworks night?

In Nursery this week we have been continuing to think about different celebrations at this time of year that celebrate light. The children continued to enjoy sharing the ‘Little Glow’ book. This week we have been mainly focussing on the firework celebrations from the 5th November. The children have been developing their creative skills by making firework pictures using different types of media. We have also worked collaboratively to make a large bonfire (painted flames) and then enjoyed being firefighters who had to spray the flames with water. This helped to develop our finger muscles.

We have continued our ‘Squiggle while you Wiggle’ handwriting scheme and have learnt the side-to-side dance move. We have also begun dough disco to get our finger muscles stronger.
