Nursery: How many different baby animals can you name?
This week in Nursery, we have been learning about different farm animals. We have been learning the correct vocabulary to use for different animals and their young e.g. baby sheep are called lambs, a baby horse is called a foal and baby chickens are called chicks. The children have also painted some lovely animal pictures thinking about the colours and shapes to use. We are excited that a new chick has hatched in the school and we hope to meet them next week.
The children have also been working really hard on their star writes for this half term. Amber, Casper and Millie groups have been making models and then drawing plans so that they are able to remake the model another day. They have then been developing their ability to give oral instructions to explain how the model can be made.
We are really looking forward to our parents/carers joining us for our Phonics Early Birds session on Wednesday so that they can get lots of ideas of how to practise early phonics skills.
