Nursery: What does a bean need to grow?

This week in Nursery, we have been thinking about what plants need to grow. Each of the children have placed their own bean into a cup and we will be giving them sunlight and water to see if they will grow. The children have all drawn what they can see and are eagerly awaiting any visible changes. The children have also been using their observational skills to paint a vase of flowers.

Ollie group have had their first ‘Squiggle whilst you Wiggle’ lesson and were very good at the up and down movement. Ziggy group have settled well and many of them are gaining confidence when separating from their parents/carers. Amber, Casper and Millie groups have been doing very well with their phonics learning and have learnt all about the number five. They have been exploring different ways to make five.
