Nursery: How do real-life superheroes help people?
This week in Nursery we have been reading Superhero like you by Dr.Ranj. In this story, a little girl called Lily tells her mum that she wants to be a superhero when she grows up. However, Lily does not want to be a superhero who wears her pants outside her clothes’ she wants to be a real superhero who helps people. We have been using this book to think about different jobs that people do to help others. We have been learning about firefighters, police officers, teachers, carers, recycling truck drivers and scientists. Can you think of other jobs that people do to help people? Superhero day was a lovely celebration of fictional and real-life superheroes. The children were able to share their knowledge of different superhero stories and recall facts about what different people do to help us in real life. The children enjoyed many different activities, including rescuing animals, helping each other when they were injured or sick and developing their super-strength and balance on different obstacle courses.
