Happy Eid

In Nursery this week we have been learning all about Eid and how it is celebrated. Some of our children who celebrated Eid have shared photographs of their celebrations and confidently talked to the class about some of the special things that they did to celebrate. The children have learnt key facts about Eid and Ramadan and understand that lots of Muslims can only eat before sunrise or after sunset when they are fasting. We also learnt that Muslim's pray 5 times a day on their prayer mats. We have linked this to our maths learning and revisited how to count to 5 and how the number 5 is written. The children also enjoyed finding 5 special things in the classroom. The children have also been very creative and made their own Eid cards and prayer mats.
