Taxi Visit

Last week, Ruby's Daddy drove his taxi into school for all the children to see. The children really enjoyed taking it in turns to be the driver. They learnt lots about how the taxi worked and were very excited to look inside the engine. Some of the children even looked at how the car could be charged and where Ruby's Daddy puts his petrol. He showed the children how people can use maps and Google Maps to find out where they need to go. We also learnt about how to be safe and discussed the importance of seatbelts. This week the children have enjoyed using recycled materials to make their own vehicles. We have been thinking about different techniques that we can use. For our Maths learning we have been learning to use the words heavy and light.
