How did you make your throne?

Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Take One Picture art project this term, inspired by Cosimo Tura's painting, A Muse (Calliope?). The children explored the artwork carefully, discussing its colours, textures and intricate details before creating their own imaginative pieces.

Fern Class designed and constructed impressive thrones from cardboard, demonstrating fantastic creativity and problem-solving skills as they planned, built and decorated their designs. Meanwhile, Emerald Class created beautiful clay thrones before developing their textile skills through sewing and crochet to add decorative elements. We have been incredibly impressed by the children's artistic talents, perseverance and enthusiasm throughout the project, and their finished creations are something they should all be very proud of.
