KS1 Sports Day

The atmosphere for KS1 sports day was fantastic today – lots of positivity and encouragement from parents, staff and the children themselves for each other!
All the children looked great in their House colours and performed brilliantly with super running on the track in the sprint, hurdles, egg and spoon and sack race and great work in the field events in the javelin and bean bag throw. The competition really was hot, a bit like the weather!, and everyone certainly gave their best.
We loved seeing the effort and perseverance all the children showed and after a closely contested morning of events the final positions were:
1st Yippy (Yellow)
2nd = Attenborough (Green) and Elizabeth (Blue)
4th Rashford (Red)
Everyone contributed to their team score and should all be very proud of the personal bests they achieved. Well done Year 1 and Year 2!
Thank you to the Year 6 Junior Supremos for their leadership on each of the stations today and helping the event run smoothly and a big thank you also to the parents and relatives who were able to join us for their amazing support - and also the large number who helped us to finish the event on a high with some seriously fast Parents’ and Carers’ Races!
