Year 1: What is the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees?

This week in Year 1, the children have been busy exploring and learning in a variety of exciting ways. In Science, we investigated the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees and went on a walk around the playground to identify different types of trees in our environment. The children enjoyed observing the leaves and discussing what they noticed. We also had great fun making our own smoothies! The children selected their ingredients carefully and were very excited to taste their creations once everything had been blended together. It was wonderful to see everyone trying new flavours and sharing their thoughts about their smoothies.
