Year 2: How do we know so much about the Great Fire of London?

This week, we learned about how we know what happened during the Great Fire of London. We discovered that people living at the time wrote about the fire in diaries, letters and newspapers. For example, Samuel Pepys recorded his experiences in his diary. We also explored paintings created by artists who lived around 1666, helping us imagine what London may have looked like during the fire.
