Year 4 had an exciting and informative visit from London's Air Ambulance Charity this week. The children learnt all about who the London Air Ambulance are, the important work they do and how they help people in emergencies across London. They were fascinated to discover how quickly the team must respond to serious accidents and how doctors, paramedics and pilots work together to save lives.
The children listened brilliantly throughout the session and asked lots of thoughtful and interesting questions to deepen their understanding. They particularly enjoyed learning about the specialist equipment used by the team and hearing real-life examples of how the air ambulance helps people every day.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn more about an important emergency service and the vital role it plays in keeping people safe.
