Year 1: What is an imperative verb?

In Year 1, the children have been developing their understanding of imperative verbs and time adverbs. They have particularly enjoyed exploring these through following instructions to make a jam sandwich. The children have also begun practising important food preparation skills, including safely cutting and juicing a variety of fruits, in preparation for making smoothies in a couple of weeks.
