What is a collage?

In Art over the last few weeks, we have been inspired by the work of artist Romare Bearden, as well as art works of the Great Fire of London, and have created our own collages. The children had to paint their own coloured paper, thinking about the textures of wood, fire, smoke, water. They then used these papers to make their collages.
