Nursery: How do Muslims celebrate Eid?

This week in Nursery, we have been learning about Eid. We have found out that Muslims celebrate Eid to mark the end of their holy month called Ramadan. When celebrating Eid, Muslims wear new, traditional clothes before going to the mosque to pray. They celebrate with their families and friends by making special food and handing out presents. The children who celebrated Eid with their families have made us all very proud as they have taught their friends lots of useful information. The children have made some beautiful Eid cards for their families. Next week we will be learning about insects and what they need in their environment. We will be reading the book ‘A Good Place’ by Lucy Cousins.
