World Book Day at Dorchester Primary School

What a fantastic day we had at Dorchester Primary School celebrating World Book Day! The school was filled with excitement as children and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life in the most creative and colourful ways.

Throughout the day, pupils enjoyed a range of activities celebrating the joy of reading, beginning with a wonderful assembly where everyone got the chance to parade their costume and sing about their love of books!

Classes spent time sharing their favourite stories, exploring new books and taking part in fun reading activities together. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm for books across the whole school.

World Book Day is always a special opportunity to celebrate the magic of reading, and our pupils certainly embraced it. A big thank you to families for helping the children prepare their fantastic costumes and for supporting a love of reading at home.
