Nursery: What happens when we mix blue and yellow?

This week in Nursery we have been learning all about our school and the local area. The children have been talking about their journeys to school and thinking about some of the local landmarks that they see on the way. We have also been thinking about our school logo and the children visited the Willow tree. The children have continued to enjoy The Naughty Bus story and they have been taking photographs to depict their own Naughty Bus stories.

We painted with cars and buses this week discussing the different patterns made by the different tyre tracks. We used primary colours and experimented to see what happened when we mixed different colours. Of course, we had to wash the vehicles afterwards.

For our Phonics learning we have learnt the phoneme ‘n’ and for our maths learning we have been learning all about the number three. We also had a phonics workshop for parents/carers on Thursday and it was lovely to see that our families are eager to support their children’s early reading and writing skills.
