Nursery: What is your favourite thing to cook in the mud kitchen?
This week the children have started to learn about our school rules. They have been learning how to be ‘Ready’ for carpet learning. They have been showing us that they can sit sensibly, use their eyes to look, their ears to listen and that they can turn their voices off when listening to others. We have also been trying really hard to take turns when speaking so that we can all listen to each other. These are skills that you can also practise at home. With their good listening skills, the children have been learning our ‘3 a day stories’ really quickly. Lots of them are joining in with key phrases from these books and using expression too! They are even starting to ‘read’ some of the pictures independently, so we are really proud of them.
The children have continued to confidently explore different areas of the environment and we have seen lots of creativity in the mud kitchen this week. Please see some of the photos below. Thank you for all your support to help the children settle quickly.
