Year 2: How has fire safety changed since 1666?

This week in History, we have compared what people in 1666 had to today. The tools and equipment used to put out the fire have been changed / updated to make them more effective. Now we have a Fire Brigade whose job it is to protect us. They have special training and uniforms which keep them and us safe.

The children have really enjoyed this topic on the Great Fire of London, and we are looking forward to our last half term, learning all about Southern Africa in Geography.
