Mini London Marathon 25

Congratulations to our 25 fabulous runners who ran the Mini Marathon course on Saturday with pride, representing Dorchester in the most brilliant way! Our runners finished the course with excellent times; some finishing in the first group of competitors in our wave of approx 250 children, which is a real achievement, and the others running their own PBs over this distance. 

The sun was shining and there was a real buzz as our children ran from Horse Guards, around St James' Park and down the iconic final straight along The Mall to the finishing line, the same last section as the main marathon runners, and of course, Mrs Bell!, would run the next day. Everyone was full of smiles as they made their way past the grandstand in front of the cheering crowd and across the line to receive their medals, all of this being streamed to the huge live screen in the Fan Zone and also on BBC iPlayer.

It was a fantastic day and a great experience for us to be able to be involved in such an amazing event. It was a real spectacle and the positive atmosphere was infectious for children and adults alike!

A big thank you to all those who came to support and lend a hand to make this possible - and hopefully help inspire our runners to keep doing just that!

Very well done to Austin, Teddy, Lily, Ollie, Jaxon, Tommy, Mason, Mihails, Paul, Meriem, Harry, Ronnie, Gabriel, Kate, Preethishri, Lidiya, Joshua, Akshara, Tiyanshika, Henry, Jesse, Laila, Jason, Phoebe and Gabriela - you all smashed it!
