Dear Dorchester Families,

While Mrs Bell has been away in Dorset enjoying a fantastic residential with our Year 6 children, it has been another busy and enjoyable week here at school! From our remaining Year 6 pupils creating their wonderful Take One Picture artwork, to Year 5 developing their cycling skills through Bikeability, our youngest learners enjoying their Earlybirds activities, and Reception having a brilliant Sports Day, there has certainly been plenty to celebrate.

With just one week of term remaining, please remember to send your child to school each day with a named sun hat and sun cream already applied. We will continue with our usual high-quality teaching and learning throughout next week, before finishing the year with our special leavers' celebrations, so there will still be lots to learn in the final week of this academic year.  We hope that you enjoy reading the amazing achievements of your children in their annual report – we have had some technical issues with the templates but this has been resolved and they are being sent today so if you child’s has not arrived yet, it will do soon.

You can pop in and talk to your teacher about it after school on Monday if you would like to do so.  (Nursery on Tuesday and Sapphire Class on Wednesday)

Have a lovely weekend and try to keep cool!

Mrs Hall

Deputy Head teacher
