Dear Dorchester Families

This week we took part in our Challenge Partners Quality Assurance Review.  This is a collaborative process where experienced school leaders from other schools across the country spend time with us to review different aspects of school life.

During their visit, the team observed lessons, spoke with children and staff, and looked carefully at how our curriculum and wider provision support children’s learning and wellbeing. It is a really valuable opportunity to reflect on our work with trusted colleagues from other schools.

The feedback helps us celebrate the strengths of our school while also giving us thoughtful suggestions about how we can continue to develop. Processes like this are an important part of how we ensure our school keeps improving for all our children.

We will, of course, share their feedback with you when we have the report.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Parent Consultation meetings next week.  As usual, your children's work will be ready for you to peruse in the hall prior to your appointment – so do come a little earlier than your appointment time so you can have a look at this.  The Scholastic Book Fair will also be running – the school receives a good amount of commission for books sold at the fair, so please consider buying a book or two, perhaps to celebrate your child's successes.

Have a great weekend.

Cathy Bell
Headteacher
